founded by
former Skylandian
Pictures director
Mark Strange.
Previously
Mark had
brought together
his first
feature film ‘Displaced’,
where he
discovered
a forte for
producing
to complement
his skills
in fight
performance,
action directing
and acting.
‘Displaced’ was
a feature
film of immense
potential
and he drew
upon whatever
resources
were available
under the
limited budget,
including
securing
the support
of ‘Lord
of the Rings’ and ‘X-Men’ star
Sir Ian McKellen
for the dramatic
opening voice
over. Mark
then moved
onto his
award winning
second feature
film ‘Underground’,
in collaboration
with Intense
Productions and
T-tech
Digital Media,
which is
currently
being sold
around the
world by
Park
Entertainment.
During his
ten year
career in
the film
industry,
Mark has
worked with
acclaimed
international
stars such
as Jackie
Chan and
Donnie Yen
in such films
as ‘Batman
Begins’, ‘The
Medallion’ and ‘Twins
Effect’.
He has also
taken his
own feature
film projects
from inception
to completion,
and seen
them sold
throughout
the world.
Mark is
also a renowned
martial arts
performer
of many years
standing
and it is
these specialist
skills that
he has successfully
adapted to
the action
film genre,
both as fight
performer
and actor.
Armed with
his invaluable
experience
of the industry,
and his passion
for film,
Mark and
his team
are dedicated
to producing
high quality,
independent
feature films
through Radius
Pictures.
Radius
Pictures is currently
partnering
with Intense
Productions and this
burgeoning
partnership
has just
seen the
completion
of their
third feature
film ‘Bodyguard:
A New Beginning’ starring
Cary-Hiroyuki
Tagawa ('Memoirs
of a Geisha',
'Pearl
Harbor',
'Mortal
Kombat')
and Richard
Ng ('Beijing
Rocks', 'Jackie
Chan's Miracles',
'My
Lucky Stars'). ‘Bodyguard:
A New Beginning’ was
shot on location
in Hong Kong
and the U.K.
Radius
Pictures is already,
in its brief
history,
become one
of the most
prolific
independent
regional
feature film
production
companies
in the U.K.,
but this
is only the
beginning,
2008 will
see a continuation
of the partnership
with Intense
Productions with work
commencing
on their
fourth feature
film, with
two other
projects
already attracting
funding in
the pipeline
after that.
In addition,
Radius
Pictures are also
actively
developing
their own
slate of
films for
the global
marketplace.
